Floating Island, 2020
Medium: plaster, monofilament
Dimensions: site-specific (36" x 18" x 9")
To create the topology of two distinct islands, I used a partial human torso as the base and wrapped it with bubble wrap, a common transportation material. After casting the body with plaster, I separated the work into two parts. The islands are suspended in the air by four points, resembling coordinate note points.
為了創建兩個不同島嶼的拓撲結構,我使用了部分人體軀幹作為基礎,並用氣泡墊(一種常見的運輸材料)將其包裹起來。 用石膏澆鑄後,我將作品分成兩個部分。
這些島嶼透過四個點懸浮在空中,類似於座標音符點。
