Growing up in Taiwan has profoundly influenced my artistic approach. My work is driven by movement and energy, inspired by the rumbling of planes, the rocking of trains, and the trembling of buses. These experiences reflect the adaptability and movement I have experienced living in a landscape shaped by the subduction zone of the Eurasian Plate and the Philippine Sea Plate. Furthermore, being raised on the borderline of various political forces has instilled in me a profound appreciation for the impact of larger social, economic, and cultural structures on individual experiences. I respond to the forces exerted by political, economic, cultural, and ideological plates that have shaped immigrants' fused identities.

My artistic practice acts as a turbulence detector, attuned to the shock waves of social tensions. I absorb and transform moments of polarization, generating lines suspended in space like a seismograph's output. These fine, delicate lines reveal the dialogues between imperceptible concussions and great upheaval.

Physical borders constitute visible architectures of power. I challenge and renegotiate the definition of borderlines to explore issues of resistance, protest, mobility, and displacement. By migrating across the boundaries of sculpture, installation, and performance with text, paper, wood, and found objects, I strive to arrive at a multifaceted understanding that transcends single culture. Just as a passeur defies frontiers to transport contraband, I provide a diverse perspective on complex issues.
